The online magazine Politico lists a number of names that have recently avoided answering whether they support Trump.

One of them is Texas Senator Ted Cruz. On Friday, he stated in an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that he is “worried” about the election.

According to the magazine, he warned that the election could “be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions” for his party. The 1972 Watergate scandal ended with the resignation of President Richard Nixon. In the interview, Cruz also expressed concern about the election, regardless of how voters viewed the pandemic and the country’s economy on election day.

Another name on the list is Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Trump and his administration, for their part, have praised the way they have handled the corona pandemic.

Although several Republicans now avoid answering whether they support Trump, there are more who openly support him. One of them is his own vice president Mike Pence.
