Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan had agreed to a ceasefire. The agreement is to apply from 12 o’clock on Saturday. The parties agreed, according to the head of Russian diplomacy, to exchange prisoners and the bodies of those killed in the conflict.

The head of Russian diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov, after about 10 hours of talks in Moscow between diplomats from Armenia and Azerbaijan, announced that from Saturday, from 12 o’clock, a ceasefire in the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh will be introduced.

Russia’s foreign minister also said that Armenia and Azerbaijan had agreed to start substantial negotiations to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The talks will be mediated by the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) led by Russia, the USA and France.
