Riga Fashion Week will take place this autumn under a vintage sign; the shows will be broadcast on the Internet

Fashion shows will take place on the Hanseatic platform, while various entertainment events and presentations are expected elsewhere in Riga.

The autumn session of Riga Fashion Week will be different from all previous seasons, but the program of Fashion Week will be no less saturated and varied. Latvian fashion designers, including children’s clothing creators, are well-known among the participants. Fashion shows will take place on the Hanseatic platform, observing the necessary precautions. This will limit the number of guests to four hundred. Each guest will be allocated a seat in the hall at a distance of 2 meters.

“To ensure maximum safety for RFW visitors, there will be a two-hour break between fashion shows. This will avoid congestion and give time to ventilate the premises. Taking into account sanitary norms, we will provide guests with hand disinfection points and surface disinfection measures,” says Jelena Strahova President of the Baltic Fashion Federation.

Another innovation of Fashion Week is the format. As fewer people will be able to physically attend the shows, an online broadcast will be organized, which will allow anyone from anywhere in the world to get acquainted with the new collections of Latvian fashion designers.

We would like to remind you that in the print media, outdoor advertisements and on the Internet you will be able to see the official image created for the 32nd season of RFW author and creative director of the vintage clothing brand Volga Vintage, RFW.

“We tried to create something special, because so far no one has used vintage clothes to create an RFW image. Thanks to the teamwork and talent, we have a vintage story that looks ultramodern and very stylish – a redhead princess (model Kristine, Moon Models) intricate asymmetrical cut blouse from the 2003 collection of designer Anna Ledskalniņa (brand Anna Led) in the currently popular bright red background on a blue (this year’s color according to Pantone) background, ”says Sergejs.

The image of the 32nd season of Riga Fashion Week was also created by photographer Asya Belova, make-up artist Beāte Kudiņa, hairdresser Eduards Hazarjans, assistant Mikus Rendijs Vanderzels.
