Miscellaneous facts. The locomotive of a Paris-Le Havre catches fire, 144 people evacuated

A fire broke out in Seine-Maritime in the locomotive of a Paris-Le Havre train on Friday afternoon, which led to the evacuation of 144 people.

At around 4 pm, the locomotive caught fire and “144 people were evacuated to Bréauté”, north-east of Le Havre. They were “taken care of by the SNCF”, specifies the firefighters of Seine-Maritime.

Forty-four firefighters and 18 devices were sent to the scene

“The fire is now extinguished” but the intervention is, this Friday evening, still in progress.

“Traffic is interrupted until further notice, SNCF said on its Twitter account. One hour of resumption of traffic is estimated at 19 hours”.
