Police charged the driver with the crime of negligent death last week after all expert opinions had been drawn up.

“The accused bus driver inadvertently caused a traffic accident when approaching between the islands of stops, as he did not adjust the speed of the bus to his abilities and the characteristics of the vehicle,” said police spokeswoman Michaela Nováková.
–
According to the police, the driver drove between the islands of stops, failed to drive and drove to the island where a group of children was. A seven-year-old boy died of his injuries. After the accident, the driver (59) claimed that it was a technical defect.
–
“During the investigation, forensic experts from the field of road transport were contacted, who did not find that the cause of the traffic accident was a technical defect of the bus,” Nováková stated.
–
Witnesses also noticed that the driver was wearing slippers. What effect could they have had on the accident, but the police did not say.
–
The accident happened on June 9 in Ouvalova street at the bus station. An empty shuttle bus knocked down several people at the bus stop, and the child did not survive the accident on the spot. The ambulance treated a total of four wounded, one of whom ended up in hospital.
