Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek club, announced that he had received a letter from Amr Al-Ganaini, head of the five-year committee that runs the Egyptian Football Association, stating his dismissal due to his crisis with the Olympic Committee.

And the Egyptian Olympic Committee had issued a decision to suspend Mortada Mansour for 4 years, fine him 100,000 pounds and prevent him from participating in any sporting activity during the suspension period, so that the President of Zamalek refused to apply the penalty.

The Olympic Committee notified all sports federations of its decision; Murtaza Mansour becomes obligated to comply with the penalty and pay the fine first, which means his admission of it and not having paid five things, namely:

1- “President of Zamalek”

The Olympic Committee decided not to approve Mortada Mansour’s representation of the Zamalek club in front of others and the judiciary regarding the club, which means removing the “president of Zamalek”, which the former described as “dismissal”, as all federations are now prohibited from dealing with him in this capacity.

2- His absence from matches and podiums

Mortada Mansour was banned from participating in any sporting activity with regard to the club, meaning his absence from attending all club matches in all games, and by extension, absence from the coronation podiums in the event that the White Club reaches the Egyptian Cup Final and the CAF Champions League, where the team is still competing in the two tournaments and is a candidate to reach the final.

3- Attending meetings

The Olympic Committee prevented Mortada Mansour from chairing any meetings or general assemblies or the board of directors of the Zamalek Sports Club, in addition to preventing the sports federations from inviting him as president of the club to attend any meetings.

4- Signature

According to the decision of the Olympic Committee, Mortada Mansour will not be able to sign any official letters to the Zamalek club (after the date of the decision), including the authorization of his deputy, and any expectation will not be taken into account after informing the sports federations, bearing in mind the validity of the previous mandate for the punishment, of his deputy, Ahmed Jalal Ibrahim.

5- Resorting to the ordinary judiciary

The Olympic Committee said that Murtaza Mansour does not have the right to resort to the regular judiciary, according to the provisions of the Sports Law, provided that he has the right to appeal and then resort to the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center, which implies recognition of the decisions of the Olympic Committee.

Sherif El-Erian, Secretary General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, said in a previous statement that Zamalek is not a party to the crisis yet, but in the event that the president of Zamalek refuses to implement the decisions, and the board of directors supports him, here the club itself, this great entity, will be suspended.
