Swiatek in Paris plays the tournament of his life and her performance has not escaped the attention of any tennis fan and expert. After eliminating the “one” Simona Halep on Tuesday, the young competitor dealt with the Italian Martina Trevisan and entered the best “four” of the competition, where her rival will be the Argentinian Nadia Podoroska.

On Wednesday, however, Swiatek did not rest, because the quarter-final in doubles awaited her. Here too she has been doing very well so far. Together with Melichar, they defeated Swiss Xenia Knoll and Danka Kovinić from Montenegro 6: 1, 6: 3 at the opening. Their next match ended with Laura Siegemund and Wiera Zwonariowa, who played with “12”, winners of the recent US Open, after the German and Russian lost the first set 3: 6. On Monday, however, they found a way to seeded with the “six” Czech Kveta Peschke and Dutch Demi Schuurs, winning 6: 3, 6: 4.

Swiatek and Melichar did not enter this match well, quickly losing the game with their own application. Fortunately, it did not have a negative impact on them and they quickly “repaid” their rivals for the same, and then they easily won another point and broke the Americans again. Our player and his doubles partner clearly “caught the wind in their sails” and although the opponents tried to respond in fierce games, Świątek and Melichar scored again.
The Americans responded with a quick game, won without losing the ball. In the next one, however, our player and her partner defended two break-points and stood a chance to win the first game. The rivals did not give up, however, and the next game was truly murderous, and Światek from Melichar only used the fifth set ball and could breathe a sigh of relief.
Although they lost the first game, the next three were won by Melichar and Świątek. The Polish woman skillfully played under the tape, her doubles partner secured the rear court. Then there was a swap. The Americans managed to snatch the game and make it 2: 3. The fight in the next game was very fierce. The game for the advantage lasted a long time, but the Świątek-Melicher duo kept more awareness and precision. In this set the game was very even. Gem for gem, or even single play for single play.
Details mattered. Ultimately, Świątek and Melicher defeated their rivals 6: 4 in the second set and advanced to the semi-finals. This is another great success of the Polish competitor after individual achievements.
