Bosowa’s boss responds to QNB’s Rp. 7 trillion lawsuit

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

President Commissioner Bosowa Corporindo Erwin Aksa open a vote about the lawsuit worth IDR7.11 trillion from the Qatar National Bank (QNB) QPSC Formerly SAQ addressed to himself and some members of his family. The lawsuit was filed with PN Central Jakarta on suspicion of breach of promise (wanprestasi) of securities acts to the bank.

According to Erwin, he did not care about the lawsuit. This is because he considers the matter of suing and suing a common thing in the business world.

“This civil suit is a business dispute. It’s a common thing in business. No corporate in the world does not have a civil problem,” he told CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (7/10).

Even so, Erwin was reluctant to respond to the points of demand that were registered by QNB. Some of the demands, namely asking the defendants to jointly or individually pay all of their liabilities totaling Rp7.11 trillion.

Consisting of US $ 352.9 million or Rp5.18 trillion for facility A and US $ 131.51 million or Rp1.93 trillion for facility B.

The payment of the two obligations will be added with an interest of 6.36 percent per annum starting from August 31, 2020 until the date the entire payment obligation is paid to the plaintiff.

QNB also demands that the settlement of payment obligations be implemented first, despite the efforts of the law of appeal, cassation and resistance (verzet).

“There is no legal decision yet, just registered it. The panel of judges has not yet been determined,” he explained.

Even so, Erwin admitted that he was ready to face the dispute going forward. “We also have demands that must get a portion of justice to the prosecutor before the law,” he said.

On the other hand, Erwin suspects that there are other parties who are trying to take advantage of this lawsuit to shape public opinion. This, he said, was reflected in the overarching coverage of this lawsuit.

However, Erwin was reluctant to explain in more detail about the alleged stirring of public opinion. “In the QNB case, there are those who try to lead to create public opinion,” he said.

Previously, QNB sued Erwin with a case letter registered with number 562 / Pdt.G / 2020 / PN Jkt.Pst. A lawsuit was filed against Erwin Aksa, then his father, Aksa Mahmud, and two other people Sadikin Aksa and Muhammad Subhan Aksa on October 5, 2020.

“Accepted and granted the plaintiff’s claim in its entirety. Stating that the defendants had committed default (default) on the deeds of guarantee,” wrote the lawsuit filed by QNB at the Central Jakarta District Court.
