Jakarta: Samsung Electronics Indonesia again announced the Galaxy Movie Studio in 2020, and collaborated with the Indonesian Film Festival. This event is aimed at Samsung to develop the potential of young people in making storytelling videos.
“Samsung provides an opportunity for young Indonesians to meet and gain knowledge directly from veteran directors from Indonesia,” said Samsung Electronics Indonesia IT & Mobile Marketing Director Miranda Warokka.
Galaxy Movie Studio is believed by Samsung to be the right platform to encourage people, especially art workers in the film sector and content creators to continue to work and be productive, despite experiencing difficult times due to the pandemic.

In collaboration with Cerita Sinema FFI, Samsung Galaxy Movie Studio presents classes and workshops that are conducted on an online basis online, enabling participants to learn further about the filmmaking process more thoroughly and deeply.
Participants will be able to attend various workshops from script writing with mentor Gina S. Noer, pre-production workshops with mentor Lala Timothy, production workshops with mentor Yandy Laurens, to post-production including the distribution stage with mentor Ernest Prakasa.
Samsung is also providing support via the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra which will be lent to workshop participants. Samsung Galaxy Movie Studio will run for two and a half months, from October to December 2020.
The short film competition will start on October 7 to October 23, 2020, and can be participated by all Samsung smartphone users who live in Jabodetabek and aged 18 to 35 years.
And 10 selected videos have the opportunity to become finalists and take part in four online workshops in November 2020. These ten finalists will also be loaned the Galaxy Note 20 smartphone series during the workshop.
And these ten filmmakers and creators will then go back through the screening process until four winners are selected who will get a large total prize. For information, Galaxy Movie Studio 2020 is the second event of this event.
