“Sheer fear” keeps Patrick J. Adams from his former Suitscolleague Meghan Markle. The 39-year-old actor tells that on Tuesday Radio Times.
The actor, whose character Mike Ross marries Rachel Zane (Markle) on the law series, “has no doubts” that he can “call her at any time”. “But I wouldn’t know what to say then,” Adams said.
He says the two texted each other after their children were born about a year apart and that they sent each other maternity gifts.
Still, Adams finds it difficult to contact Markle by phone. “I think it’s out of sheer fear. I think I’m afraid of the idea of starting the conversation and breaking down the wall between us – whatever wall that is.”
Still, he hopes to see Markle again soon. “I am super happy that she is back this side of the ocean and I would love to see her again soon. She is very busy, so hopefully time will allow it. But I am proud of everything she does.”
Adams and Markle left Suits simultaneously. Adams returned briefly in the series’ final season. Suits was broadcast between 2011 and 2019.
