Although Jeremy Clarkson does not appear on television as often as he did on Top Gear, his views still attract attention and interest many people.

So it’s no wonder that his name appears in the News UK Motor Awards poll, for example. As you probably know, it has to do with cars.
Clarkson has two categories in this poll. In one he announces his supercar of the year, in the other he chooses the people’s car of the year.
And how did Jeremy choose this year? Well, quite surprisingly.
Let’s start with Supercar of the Year. According to the British moderator, the best supercar is the Eagle Lightweight GT, which is a kind of improved interpretation of the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight.

Eagle is made in Great Britain and its production is mainly honest handmade. A sports car weighing about a ton, the price of which exceeds 20 million crowns, is created in the number of two pieces a year. The production of one takes more than 8,000 hours.
The drive is provided by an atmospherically filled 4.7-liter in-line six-cylinder with an output of 283 kW horsepower, which the car gets from standstill to a hundred in less than 5 seconds. The maximum speed is 274 km / h.
Perhaps even more surprising is Jeremy’s choice of the People’s Car of the Year. Clarkson chose the Mini John Cooper Works GP. It is a small three-door hatchback, but we would probably be reluctant to call it a people’s car.
The sharp version of the Mini, which is set in motion by a supercharged two-liter with an output of 225 kW, costs at least CZK 1,157,000 in the Czech Republic. In addition, the carmaker plans to produce only 3,000 copies.
