“There is an ecological disaster in Kamchatka” near Khalatyr Beach and Avacha Bay on the Pacific Ocean, Greenpeace says. On the beach you can see one dead sea creature lying next to another. A sad image with carcasses of octopuses, sea urchins and starfish. Photos of the carcasses are shared on social media.
The beach is a popular tourist attraction, especially with surfers. Several surfers also reported feeling ill after being in the water.
