The new version of the Czech Television’s Internet archive, which should be completed within the next year, will have a different geoblock when watching programs from abroad. The intention of Czech Television is that anyone who pays the fees properly can watch their holidays abroad, for example in Croatia.
The plan was presented by today’s CEO Petr Dvořák at today’s meeting of the media committee of the Chamber of Deputies. He thus responded to questions from MP Tomáš Martínek (Pirates).
However, this feature will only be available to a logged-in user who is a verified payer of television fees. About the upcoming video portal, which will replace the existing iVys Broadcasting, we have already informed on Digizone.cz.
