The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was tested by the DxOMark team, which checked its photographic capabilities. Is it worth buying a Note 20 Ultra for a good camera?
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is one of the best and most recognizable Samsung smartphones that some geeks buy for the possibility of a quad camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).
It is these users who should be interested in the test made by the DxOMark team. It would seem that the new flagship will show great performance compared to the competition and easily break through the previous Galaxy – nothing could be more wrong.

The result is disappointing and even lower than that of the Galaxy S20 Ultra. In the overall DxOMark classification Note 20 Ultra scored 122 points, which is one point less than the flagship of the S series.

Last year’s Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro also ranked higher than Samsung’s flagship smartphone. Now let’s look at the optical equipment of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra:

On paper, such an optical background looks impeccable and its quality is hard to object to – DxOMark lists many advantages of the Note 20 Ultra camera: vivid colors, wide tonal range, details in photos with zoom and good quality of photos at night.
Negative attention was paid to visible noise (not only those in photos in lower light), incorrect white balance in some conditions, unstable autofocus and noise in wide-angle photos.
