Last day, performing a total of 2544 Covid-19 tests, 67 new cases of Covid-19 infection were detected in Latvia, according to data compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).
Thus, in Latvia, infection with Covid-19 has been laboratory confirmed in 2086 persons so far.
To date, 334,829 Covid-19 examinations have been performed in Latvia. Of all cases in which laboratory infection with Covid-19 was confirmed, 1,307 had recovered and 38 had died.
Data from the National Health Service show that two patients with Covid-19 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. A total of 26 patients are treated in hospitals, of whom 23 have a moderate course of disease and three have a severe course of the disease.
Patients treated for severe disease range in age from 45 to 70 years. To date, 233 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both recovered and dead.
