In the Moravian-Silesian Region, firefighters set out on Saturday morning and in the morning for more than eighty cases related to strong winds.
–
“Half of the trips have taken place so far in the Frýdek-Místek district, another 25 in the Novojičín region,” said Petr Kůdela, a spokesman for the Moravian-Silesian fire brigade, adding that firefighters always record less than ten interventions in the remaining four districts.
–
“The fall of the trees has not so far caused any personal injuries or major damage, if I do not count the fall of the tree on a parked car in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm and several damage to the power lines,” Kůdela said.

He added that firefighters also went several times to make temporary repairs to roofing, especially sheet metal.
