“State reform must go in the right direction,” she says. “I do not prefer to refederalize, but there should be no taboos. It is respectful to enter the debate with an open mind,” said Verlinden.
Following in the footsteps of her party chairman, she also wants to involve the N-VA in this. “I am happy to reach out to the N-VA to do that together. For them this is a sensitive theme, but also for us. With homogeneous competence packages you can pursue a decisive policy. But that debate can only succeed without preliminary statements.”
