In the pre-match of the 6th round of the first football league, Slovácko lost to Pardubice 0: 1, Michal Surzyn scored the only goal of the match in the fourth minute.
Slovácko played from the 67th minute without the excluded Jan Kalabiška and did not win at home for the fifth time in a row. On the other hand, the newcomer scored the first goal of the season outside and he earned him the first victory on the opponent’s field. A single shot on goal was enough for him.
“It was our stupidity, the players did not follow the tactical instructions in the end,” the home coach Martin Svědík was angry. “I have to admit that it was a lucky win,” said Pardubice assistant Jiří Krejčí. Even the author of the goal, Surzyn, did not hide his joy: “Straw pushed it nicely for me, I prepared it, aimed it and it fell there.”
The opening minutes belonged to the home team, but a slight advantage did not lead to any shooting opportunities. Pardubice, on the other hand, and Brazil’s Cadu shot in the 9th minute right next to Nemrav’s goal.
This action seemed to shake off the newcomer’s shyness from the game. Pardubice players started to combine better, they were able to play with one touch. Cadu got another hint of another chance, but the emphatic Kalabiška did not let him finish. “We can’t play like this at home. We lacked movement, aggression, we didn’t collect bouncing balls,” said Svědík.
Slovácko came close to Boháč’s goal only sporadically. In the 21st minute, Cicilia extended the kick to Sadílek, but the East Bohemian defense managed to do it without any problems. This event characterized the helplessness in the offensive of Slovácko, from which the home team emerged only in the last minutes of the first half.
Kadlec shot dangerously, Cicilia was close to the goal, and at the set time also Hofmann, whose head was brilliantly pulled out by the goalkeeper Boháč. “These were the worst moments of the match for me,” said the Pardubice goalkeeper.
Slovácko actively entered the second half as well. In the 51st minute, Kohút sent Navrátil to the break, who bypassed Boháč, but got out of the shooting angle and did not have time to finish.
The growing onslaught of the home team was slowed down by the 67th minute, when Kalabiška fouled one of the defenders on the border of the Pardubice penalty area. At first he received a yellow card, but after the intervention of the video referee, the referee changed the verdict to red. Manager Šumulikoski was expelled from the home bench for the protests. “It was a senseless foul by Kalabiska,” Svědík said.
However, the disadvantage of one man was not known in Slovácko, it still held the baton of the duel in its hands. In the 78th minute, Petržela pushed the ball into the penalty area to Hellebrand, but Boháč ran out and missed his chance. “I wanted to give him a violin, but it didn’t work out. It was a great chance,” Patrik Hellebrand regretted.
Passive guests came within range at the very end, but it earned them a three-point gain. In the lime, after Slám’s vertical, Surzyn got to the ball and secured a victory for his team with a shot under the crossbar.
