South African coach Pitso Musimane, the new coach of Al-Ahly club, led his team after arriving in Cairo a few hours ago, in preparation for the Arab Contractors in the league next Sunday.
Last Thursday (October 1), Al-Ahly officially announced the contract with Pitso Musimane for two seasons and the termination of the contractual relationship with the Swiss Rene Fyler, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the two parties.
Mahmoud Al-Khatib was keen to attend the team’s training session to provide support to coach Musimani, after the duo gathered a session in the presence of the Planning Committee, new members of the technical staff and football director Sayed Abdel Hafeez.
The training session witnessed acquaintance with the coach, the players and members of the technical and administrative staff, before the training began naturally with physical spines and recovery in preparation for Sunday’s match.
Hussein El-Sayed, the Al-Ahly player, attended the training session after finishing his loan with Tunisia’s Sfaxien a few days ago, to wait for his position on the coach and management to leave or stay.
The duo Saad Samir and Muhammad Mahmoud undertook hospital training under the supervision of Tariq Abdel Aziz, a rehabilitation specialist at Al-Ahly club, according to the program set for them to return to the stadium quickly.
Musimani stopped the “division” after he set up a test match between all the players, to say some technical instructions to the players. After that, the coach met with Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Sami Shirts and the physical trainer.
The training saw the goalkeeper Ali Lotfy return to the group exercises this evening, Friday, after he got rid of his infection with the Corona virus and carried out the rehabilitation program.
Michel Yancon, the goalkeeper coach of the team, led a strong training session for goalkeepers Mohamed El Shennawy, Ali Lotfi, Mustafa Schubert and Hamza Alaa, this evening, in the first training session led by the new coaching staff led by Pitso Mosimane.
Musimani was keen to hold a session with Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, on the sidelines of the evening session, as this session witnessed Al-Ahly’s new technical director directing some instructions to the player to implement them during the next stage.
Al-Ahly training also witnessed Walid Suleiman’s participation in group exercises after he recovered from the injury he suffered in the back, which kept him from participating in the recent period.
On the other hand, Ahmed Al-Sheikh continued his qualification program, hoping to prepare him to participate in group training during the coming period, after the player complained of muscle pain, to undergo a rehabilitation program by running around the stadium.
Junior Ajayi also performed solo exercises at the beginning of the team’s preparation for the confrontation with the Arab Contractors, and the Nigerian was satisfied with running around the stadium and implementing some training paragraphs, to get rid of the state of muscle fatigue, before the start of the evening team training.
Despite the lack of time before facing the Arab Contractors, Musimani was keen to give the players technical instructions, and asked them to apply them in the upcoming matches, in an attempt to quickly send his philosophy to the minds of the players.
