A US judge ruled on Thursday (US time) that Dr. Dre does not have to pay for the costs of the security team that his future ex-wife Nicole Young wants to hire. Young has selected a team that, along with some other costs, should cost about $ 1.5 million ($ 1.28 million).
Dr. Dre said according to papers owned by TMZ in court that he was quite willing to pay for the security, as he did before, but that he disagrees with the costs. The judge agreed, telling Young that she can choose a team herself, provided it is not more expensive than the team Dr. Dre hired earlier.
Young filed for divorce at the end of June after a 24-year marriage and says she has received several death threats from fans of the musician since then. For her protection, Dre is said to have already hired a team, but according to his future ex-wife, he set the rules for that team and could control her life that way.
The judge has recommended Young to issue a restraining order for Dr. Dre if it’s true that he’s trying to control her. The judge further declined to have a case over $ 5 million of attorneys’ fees before January.
