After reporting his superior, AKP Agus resigned from the National Police.

He has submitted a letter of resignation to the East Java Regional Police and the National Police.

Agus admitted that he resigned because he could not stand the police chief’s treatment.

The man who has served in the police for 27 years admitted that he was depressed because Ahmad Fanani often cursed him as an animal and used other inappropriate remarks.

Agus said that the Blitar Police Chief also often dismissed his men without first providing guidance.

He admitted that this made Blitar Police members nervous.

“I no longer have the strength to be subordinate to the police chief, and I proposed early retirement without demanding anything from the Police,” he said.

Separately confirmed, the Head of Blitar Police, AKBP Ahmad Fanani, admitted that he only gave a reasonable warning to his subordinates.

“I reprimanded him for having his subordinates with long hair, then he refused and called me arrogant,” he said.

He considered the reprimand addressed to his men still within the bounds of propriety. He returned to accuse his men of not entering the service since September 21, 2020.

As for the Professional and Security Sector (Propam), the East Java Regional Police will intervene in handling the polemic between Agus and Ahmad Fanani.

“Paminal (Internal Security) will be dispatched to Blitar to clarify the case. Of course later the person concerned and the Blitar Police Chief will be asked for information, including other members who know about the incident,” said Head of Public Information Bureau of the National Police’s Public Relations Division Brigadier General (Pol) Awi Setiyono when contacted.
