GroenLinks alderman survives debate about urban poet riot | Inland

Haarlem – On Thursday, the GroenLinks alderman from Haarlem, Marie-Thérèse Meijs, survived the emergency debate about the riot surrounding the fired city poet Darryl Osenga, aka rapper Insayno, despite the fact that she was faced with an avalanche of criticism. Coalition parties CDA, PvdA and D66 were also extremely critical of the culture alderman about her role in the appointment of the controversial rapper because of hate tweets. Mayor Wienen explained why the poet was fired after two days.
