It is not more than a week ago that Jens Petter Hauge occasionally ravaged AC Milan in the Europa League qualifier for Bodø / Glimt. Despite an assist and a goal, Glimt had to be beaten by the Italian big club.
Now he is confirmed ready for the Italian big club. Milan and Bodø / Glimt were able to report this today.
– It was good to get things in place. There has been a lot of talk lately, so it was nice to get a clarification now, Hauge tells Dagbladet.
Bodøværingen has barely had time to be home in Norway before he had to return to Milan again. On Tuesday, he arrived in Italy to sign papers and eventually complete a medical test.
– It has been good, and a lot has happened. Now I have things in place and can start preparing for things that will happen in the future, says the new Milan player.
Hauge has impressed throughout the year. There have been 14 goals and eight assists this season.
Now he will try to deliver for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Milan had for several years a tradition of either getting far or winning the Champions League.
– It has now dawned on me that it will become a reality. AC Milan is a big club, and I believe I have something to do here, he says.

Although the club may not have the same level as in the 90s and early 2000s, things may indicate that the arrows are pointing in the right direction again.
After the corona break all of Europe had this spring, Milan has been brilliant. Still, he hopes to play in the team during the fall.
– That is what the goal is eventually. Now there will be a national team break already on Monday. It will also be fun. I am excited about what will happen in the future, says the 20-year-old.
Probably not everyone knew Hauge quite a short time ago. As recently as 2018, he was on loan in Aalesund. There was a lot of time on the bench before he returned to Glimt in 2019.
– The years have been instructive and I have taken great strides. I have never doubted my qualities. I have imagined that such steps have been possible, he says.

Now he becomes teammate with star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is looking forward to that.
– It will be fun. It is a player who has experienced a lot. There is a lot to learn from him, and I will do the same. I think we can do well together, says Hauge.
– Do you believe in a Scandinavian superduo with Zlatan?
– It is allowed to hope. There is no doubt that he has enormous qualities. Just give him the ball, and he will fix the rest, says Hauge.
Although he is finally stepping out of Europe, he feels sad at leaving Glimt.
– It will be very special. It is the club I have been a part of since 2016. At the same time, it feels right for both me and the club, so then everyone is happy, says Hauge.
The first opportunity to make his Milan debut will be against Spezia next Sunday. Tonight, his teammates can secure a Europa League place for Milan.
