Since the beginning of the year, 176 residents of Ryazan have been diagnosed with HIV

In the first 8 months of 2020, 176 cases of HIV infection were registered in the Ryazan region, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reports.

It is noted that this is almost 15% less than in the same period last year – 206 people. Today, the sexual route of infection prevails – more than 70% (128 people) of cases of infection, 27% of patients (48 people) became infected while using drugs.

At the moment, more than 3 thousand people live with a diagnosis of HIV infection in the region.
