Irish sounds in the Zeller Kulturkeller

Iontach is Irish and means wonderful / excellent and at times also strange / strange. For the guests in the Zeller Kulturkeller, the group was just wonderful, according to a press release from Markt Zell. Without any technical reinforcement, Siobhn Kennedy (IRL), Nick Wiseman-Ellis (GB) and Jens Kommnick (D) spoiled the audience with lyrical songs from or about Ireland and with lively, partly self-composed instrumentals. For example Lights on the Ocean, a piece by Jens Kommnick that brought the play of lights on the waves of the sea at the fishing port in his home town at the mouth of the Weser to Zell am Main.

Despite the large distances between the spectators and the distance markings on the floor and on the stage, the artists managed to create a heartwarming, intimate atmosphere and seduce people into a world without worries about Corona. With anecdotes and stories, the audience felt like they were in the company of close friends. Which was partly the case. Numerous members of the Folk Club Wrzburg and musicians from far and near came to the event of the Working Group Culture Zell am Main and enjoyed the music, which was balm for the soul, as one guest remarked after the concert.

The working group’s culture boat will continue on October 16 and present the music and cabaret group hisdndisd vomm mee in the Maintalhalle alternative port. Two-pack tickets are available from the Zell town hall. The event takes place under the then current hygiene regulations and their acceptance is assumed.
