The boy with the initials RFZ (10) was tortured by his father DZ (34) and dumped by his mother MZ (33) while living in the company complex in Terantang Manuk Village, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.

The Head of Pelalawan Police admitted to taking care of the child so that he would no longer face violence from his parents.

According to him, if the victim was returned to her parents, it was feared that it would be even worse.

“If I also return it to his family, I’m afraid that something will get even worse. Instead of this child dying, I save it,” said Indra Wijatmiko when talking to Kompas.com by telephone, Wednesday (9/30/2020) night.

He said the victim suffered from severe depression as a result of being tortured by his father until his mother dumped him.

The victim experienced this act of torture for a year.

The victim, said Indra, was beaten with pliers and wood. Bruises were almost all over the victim’s body.

“This child is severely depressed. Doesn’t want to talk, doesn’t want to eat. That’s why I took him to be an adopted son,” said Indra.

During the two days of staying with him, according to him, the victim’s condition had started to improve and was cheerful.

However, the wounds on the victim’s body still need treatment and psychological recovery for the child.

“My wife and I at home are trying to recover psychologically. If the wounds on his body are still severe, such as on the back, ribs, feet and head. All of the toenails are removed using pliers. If you want to take a shower, you have to wrap your nails in plastic so you don’t hurt them. soapy water. I also called the doctor home to treat him. Now his condition is getting better, he can ride a bike, “said Indra.
