“I’m afraid one day I’ll get up and not be able to say what I want.” Nancy is 48 years old and has been living with a brain tumor since 2016. It is benign, but every day she feels how it restricts her more and more. She no longer walks steadily. She cannot always articulate her thoughts. She is constantly under anesthetic. Pain that is not only caused by the tumor, because Nancy has several incurable, but not life-threatening diseases: DES, asthma, emphysema, diarrhea, digestive problems, immune disorder, … “It just adds, nothing goes off.”
