– says in an interview with the portal wPolityce.pl Prof. Ryszard Legutko, MEP of PiS, referring to a letter signed by 50 ambassadors operating in Poland, in which they express their support for LGBT communities.
wPolityce.pl: 50 ambassadors signed the letterin which they expressed their support for LGBT communities and their activities in Poland. Publication of such a letter is, in your opinion, a normal diplomatic action?
Prof. Ryszard Legutko: I think this is something very abnormal, but we know this is not the first time something like this has happened. Such letters had already been written. After all, these ambassadors take part in LGBT parades and with their presence there support things that are not very handsome, and in addition all the blasphemy and offensive gestures that take place at these parades. This is something deeply abnormal and I must admit that I do not fully understand it. I only know that in many countries there is an official compulsion for their representatives to take this position and ostentatiously support all movements of homosexual activists. LGBT terror is terror completely for real. If such an ambassador refused to participate, he would simply be fired. This also has to be taken into account. Most of them probably think it should be because they don’t have any other worldview to subscribe to, but deep down they know that if they would just try not to do it, it would be the end of their career.
How do you think the Polish government should react to this letter?
We should have reacted a long time ago, because this is not the first time such a thing has happened. I think you have to use official methods. You have to ask all these signatories one by one and explain to them that this is inappropriate behavior that is offensive to the Polish government. From this letter it follows that some action is taking place here against homosexuals, while what is happening in Poland is a reaction of defense against aggression of LGBT communities. Ambassadors are not allowed to interfere in such things. Please note that this is one of the few things where ambassadors officially interfere. Usually they behave with restraint, because this is the diplomatic code and the law under which the diplomatic service operates.
The US Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher was asked in an interview for Wirtualna Polska why there was no similar solidarity position of ambassadors, e.g. on the situation in Belarus or Nord Stream 2. She replied that these were political and economic issues, while the LGBT issue was “respect for minorities sexual and other people “, which in her opinion is something” beyond discussion “.

But the fact that the ambassadors come together and tell us what is good and what is bad? Which family model is good and which is bad? It is out of my mind.
I will change the subject a bit. The spokesman of the European Commission announcedthat Commission President Ursula von der Leyen “has full confidence” in Vera Joruova. This is a response to Prime Minister Orban’s call to dismiss Jourova. How did you receive this declaration?
Shortly after Ursula von der Leyen was elected president of the European Commission, it seemed that there was some chance of an agreement here and that she was a person slightly different from Timmermans. It turns out, however, that this is one machine, a powerful bulldozer, and no matter who is in charge of this institution, they do the same. Ursula von der Leyen’s speech about the state of the EU, in which she outlined the way forward, was the most terrifying speech about the state of the EU that I have heard in my life. Man may soon be dying after Jean-Claude Juncker as such a nice gentleman, compared to what is happening now. You can’t have any illusions now.
