A negative test not older than 72 hours is a must when traveling to Greece. Passengers from Prague must prove themselves in the same way in Austria, to Germany the test must not be older than 48 hours. Czechs have problems traveling abroad, as mandatory quarantine is unacceptable to many and it is difficult to get tested before the trip.
“The moment you imagine that you have to leave on Monday, that is, you have to take a test on Saturday and Sunday, you have to take it as a self-payer, so you can hardly find a place to take such a test,” said the vice-president offices of Jan Papež.
More and more countries are complaining about traveling to the Czech Republic, but we can still go to Poland, Italy, France or Portugal, for example, without restrictions.
Due to the high number of newly infected, Slovakia will be significantly tightened. From Thursday, there will be banned mass events. Exceptions will be weddings, christenings or funerals, other events will be attended only by people with a negative test not older than 12 hours.
Restaurants and bars in Slovakia will have to close no later than 10 pm. The store limit will be reintroduced in stores. If it is not possible to keep the spacing, Slovaks will wear veils outside. On Wednesday, the local government will also discuss declaring a state of emergency.
“The situation in Slovakia is extremely serious and we do not have what is happening here for the next week or two, but with these measures we can influence what will happen in the third and fourth weeks and every other one,” said Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic.
There are also talks about tightening up measures in other European countries, for example, Germany wants to reduce the collection and supply of alcohol in high-risk areas.
