A video shot yesterday in Formello, in the province of Rome, is circulating on social media, in which before a meeting-interview Matteo Salvini admits that he has a fever, and that he ignored a doctor who advised him to stay at home (probably to avoid that it infects other people, in the case of coronavirus). The video was broadcast live on Salvini’s Facebook page, where it is still visible.
At the beginning of the video Salvini apologizes for the delay with which he arrived, and then adds: «It was a day that didn’t start very well. I was on cortisone for two hours, and when I got up the doctor told me: “Of course you are going home now.” I told him “Yes, don’t worry, I pass first from Anguillara Sabazia, then from Formello and end up in Terracina, but I get home in the evening”. I was too keen to be here, and therefore a little sore and a little feverish, but it’s nice to be there. “
In the afternoon, Salvini denied having a fever – “never had” – and added that he tested negative for the coronavirus done in the morning.
‼ ️ Never had a fever, tested on Covid yesterday morning, negative.
I have a stiff neck like millions of Italians and I took cortisone, some “journalists” would at least avoid speculating and lying about the health of others.
