Alcohol and drugs
In an interview with RTL Boulevard, Danny and Jenny open a book about their relationship. The two have been married for nearly 25 years, but their marriage has not always been self-evident. Danny says frankly that he likes a party a little too much, and that their marriage has sometimes come under pressure.
He says that the corona crisis was difficult for him, partly because it was no longer possible to party: “When the corona broke out, I noticed that somewhere deep inside I felt very shitty.”
Danny is a man who likes to party and, he says, sometimes goes all the way: “I am a man of extreme. I can be pretty crazy I can tell you. When I go to a festival, I go to hell. ”
25 years
His wife Jenny has never left his side once in those 25 years. Danny says that his wife is like a rock in the surf for him: “If I hadn’t had her,” he says when he also says that he is not averse to narcotics. “When I say booze and drugs … I’m a people’s goat.” he reveals. He can count on Jenny to keep him in line:
“I don’t think I’m that strong at that, she has a very strong character.”
Jenny hasn’t always had an easy time with Danny. According to him, he was hardly present in the first years after her pregnancies: “The education of my children at the beginning … I was not there.”
She is still fond of him. “He’s very sweet,” she says blissfully of her husband. She also reveals the secret behind a strong marriage: “Talk, talk and talk again.”
Danny closes the interview with an ode to his wife: ,, Jenny, that helps me a lot. Without her, this would have been a very different interview. That’s why I love her so much. ”
