She is back. He starts from “his house”. That is, from that time that made her loved by many viewers. But “from his home” also in the sense that the studio from which it will air “It’s always noon” – His Rai 1 Monday to Friday – somehow he remembers his new country house, where he has decided to live for a couple of years now.
Antonella Clerici, are you excited?
«Right now I’m adrenaline pumping, I have to fix a thousand things. I am thrilled to see the studio and my ideas materialize. Surely today I will do it under. Finding that audience with which I have been in contact for many years will be very exciting ».
Will the studio be without an audience?
“Yes, and in fact we will have many games on the phone to have contact with viewers.”
The games in the midday broadcast: Raffaella Carrà’s famous beans immediately come to mind …
“In fact, I had already once mentioned the game of beans at the Cook’s Test. La Carrà has always been a myth for me. They won’t be that kind of games, but I’d like it to go back to that atmosphere. These are simple games, I would very much like to give away many prizes ».
In the show we will talk about cooking and current affairs, it seems a strange mix.
“Don’t think of current affairs in the sense of crime news like other broadcasts do. You have to imagine the studio as my home, where we chat about everything. I welcome everyone into the kitchen, you will never see us sitting on the sofa. The reference is the life of the province and not that of the frenetic pace of the city. We will have a fixed cast of people, typical of the provincial house at lunchtime ».
There will also be two wise grannies
“Two grandmothers and an aunt to be exact. Women of the world who can talk about everything. I cook with my aunt ».
And then
«We will make bread together, every day. Then there will be the factotum, the good, kind man: he is the one you call when there is a problem at home. And then many cooks who are part of my history and new cooks. And Lorenzo Bigiarelli, who will bring us the products he discovers during his travels ».
Lockdown has to do with the idea of these lower rates.
“Absolutely yes. From this quarantine we have come out more arrogant; but I also found people much nicer. I got tired of those who scream, even on social media. When I feel attached to things that don’t exist I block. I got tired of the arrogance, I find it is no longer in fashion ».
Is the return to Rai Uno a rematch?
“No, it’s not a rematch. They didn’t kick me out. It was I who wanted to leave and I didn’t think of returning to Rai Uno. There have been some changes, even of direction, Stefano Coletta wanted to change the noon. I had a very small project, and instead the director after Covid made me this proposal ».
Was she happy with it?
“I didn’t say yes right away. I asked for some time to think about it. I was very worried and I don’t like being inconsistent. Then I said to myself “only stupid people in life don’t change their minds” ».
He spent many months on the other side of the cathode ray tube. Is there anything that hit you on TV?
«I’ve watched a lot of information and a lot of TV series. I really like learning from small shows. I see a lot of documentaries, cooking things like Crazy Delicius (English culinary competition program ed), I watch what my colleague Alessandro Borhgese does. I am very curious”.
And on Rai networks?
«A lot of information. If it comes to information, I choose my home, Rai. If I have to look at a journalist I really like, Enrico Mentana also follows ».
There is a program that seeing it thought: would it be perfect for me?
“I was the first to cook on TV, so I’d say no. I look at the programs without a conductor with curiosity and attention, I am attentive to how the edits are made, as is the packaging of the program ».
Speaking of edited and post-produced programs, Temptation Island is now enjoying success
«It is very well packaged, it is a bit of a feuilleton of our times, you look at it with sympathy a bit you are passionate about those stories; let’s say, however, that I generally prefer experimental programs, perhaps to get some ideas ».
A future behind the cameras?
«Having been a presenter for so many years, I think that when I retire – and I don’t want to grow old on TV – I will definitely retire. Maybe I will give some advice to the younger ones that I follow with affection ».
Is there a young face that you particularly like?
«I found Andrea Delogu’s growth very interesting, I find it a bit different».
What do you wish for today?
“I hope people find an old friend, with an edge.”
