New residents of the municipality of Noord-Beveland are normally treated to a farmer’s breakfast at a fixed time of the year, but that cannot take place this time due to the corona virus. That is why they receive a welcome bag with a number of gifts.
The bag is intended for people who registered after August 1, 2019 and before August 1 of this year. It concerns 380 households.
The bag includes a coupon from the GON business association, which they can spend with entrepreneurs on the island. The municipality will hang the bags on the doors in October.
“Despite the limitations, we looked at what could be done. We wanted to welcome our new residents and found this to be a suitable alternative,” says Mayor Loes Meeuwisse.
