Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) in the Restaurant Sector Emil Arifin asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to make concessions for the restaurant in the middle PSBB tight which has now extended to 11 October.

He explained that restaurant entrepreneurs who are members of PHRI already have clear protocols.
“Even PHRI has its own CHS protocol, namely Cleanliness, Health and Safety. It is a collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and refers to the Ministry of Health and WHO. We are really ready to prepare because we are especially in the mall or in a hotel. and malls have their own protocols. So they are really prepared, ready. But this PSBB regulation is beaten evenly, everyone cannot be dine in, “he said.
Therefore, he hopes that there will be an exception for the restaurant business in the middle of this strictly implemented PSBB.
“So rules should be made, namely the PSBB transition to strict PSBB that carries out the COVID protocol given an exemption, may (like) a transition. If not, why have we invested, have all kinds of things, have trained, made books, made guides, made pocket books, all of a sudden it was all flat, “he added.
He also revealed that hundreds of thousands of daily employees at restaurants had to be laid off due to the tightening of PSBB DKI Jakarta. The PSBB was extended until 11 October.
“So I think there are almost 200,000 (daily employees). That’s just the mall, not the hotel, not the independent one, there are 4 thousands of independent restaurants in DKI Jakarta.PSBB tight), Tuesday runs out, daily employees are not used immediately, “he explained.
