A traffic accident occurred this morning on the A31 motorway. At around 9 a.m., a motorcyclist traveling in the Metz-Luxembourg direction lost control of his two-wheeler for reasons still unknown after exiting Volmerange-les-Mines. The driver finished his run in the crash barrier. Seriously injured, he suffered a cardiac arrest, but the firefighters on the spot managed to resuscitate him.

Vital prognosis engaged
His state of health – the prognosis is vital – necessitated his transfer to the central hospital of Nancy by the Samu-Lorraine helicopter, which landed directly on the motorway, in the direction Luxembourg-Metz. This resulted in the complete closure of the A31 for a few minutes. Also on the spot, the men of the Moulins-lès-Metz motorway platoon diverted the motorists towards the Kanfen exit.
