By car to the TÜV: On the test bench

Every driver knows it. Some are afraid of him: the TÜV. The technical monitoring association operates 19 test centers in Lower Franconia and makes decisions about the future of many vehicles. Every year around ten million cars have to pass the safety check. Every fifth car fails the test on the first try due to safety deficiencies. It will therefore initially not receive a new badge. If it is less than half a percent, the inspector finds such serious defects that the vehicle must be put out of action immediately.
