BZ: How do you assess the infection situation in the district and the city of Freiburg?
Kappert: Up until about 14 days ago, we mainly had travelers returning who were infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus. That was clear research for us. Most of the time we had to check out the people who traveled together. Since last week we have had a massive number of cases on site, including at children’s facilities and schools. There are also no longer very clear chains of infection and sources of infection. The infection process has also returned to our population.
