Since the start of the obesity center in the Jessa Hospital – exactly ten years ago this month – more than 2,000 patients in Hasselt have undergone surgery for a stomach reduction. “Not Covid-19, but obesity is the greatest threat to our public health in 2020,” warn the specialists of the obesity center.
