The file of the indictment of the public prosecutor (JPU) related to the case Pinangki Sirna Malasari has been read. However, there is a highlight in the indictment. The spotlight came from ICW.
ICW highlighted that there were 4 things missing in the prosecutor’s indictment file. ICW questioned the Pinangki and Anita Kolopaking networks so that the reason for Djoko Tjandra to believe it was not in the indictment.
“There are at least four things that seem ‘lost’ in the handling of the case,” said ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana in his statement, Thursday (9/24/2020).
The following are the four things highlighted in the prosecutor’s indictment:
1. There is no explanation. Djoko Tjandra believed that Pinangki took care of the MA fatwa.
ICW said the general prosecutor’s case file was transferred when he transferred the matter to PN Tipikor. Kurnia mentioned in the allegation that he did not explain why Djoko Tjandra could trust the Pinangki prosecutor in relation to the management of the MA fatwa.
“The public prosecutor did not explain what Pinangki Sirna Malasari said or did when he met with Djoko S Tjandra, so that the fugitive in the corruption case could trust the prosecutor,” said Kurnia.
In fact, according to Kurnia, a fugitive would act carefully in relation to his case. Moreover, at that time Pinangki did not hold a high position at the AGO.
“This is important, because in plain view, it is impossible for a fugitive ‘big class’ like Djoko S Tjandra to have high confidence in Pinangki. Moreover, he also does not have an important position in the Attorney General’s Office,” he said.
2. There is no description of how Pinangki creates an action plan
ICW questioned that the indictment had not yet elaborated on how Pinangki realized the action plan that had been compiled with his team regarding the Djoko Tjandra case. It was stated that there were 10 action plans, but according to ICW, Pinangki’s steps were not conveyed to realize the plan.
“The public prosecutor has not explained what steps have been taken by Pinangki in order to make the action plan a success?” said Kurnia.
