Hello Games unveiled another major update to the space game on Wednesday No Man’s Sky. This goes by the name Origins and offers a comprehensive overhaul of virtually the entire game.
No Man’s Sky Origins is available now, and is completely free for anyone who owns the game on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Big changes
As Hello Games reports, the Origins update features a drastic expansion of the game’s universe. Again, players get the chance to go where no one has been before, with millions of new planets to discover.
On the occasion of the Origins launch, both new and old worlds have been refurbished. Hello Games reports more varied terrain, richer diversity among both flora and fauna and new lighting effects that will give each planet a more unique feel.
The weather also makes more of an impact, with for example tornadoes, lightning and thunder and more clouds in the sky. Players can also encounter huge insects, wild robots and giant sandworms that explode through the planet’s surface at any moment.
