From July 19, the Intensive Care of the Modena Polyclinic did not host Covid patients: since yesterday the ward reopened its doors for three people who are in serious condition. This was communicated by the Ausl specifying that one is one of the nine cases discovered yesterday, while the other two “were previously hospitalized in infectious diseases and conditions have worsened in recent days”. The patients admitted to the ward directed by Professor Massimo Girardis are 73, 66 and 53 years old. Nothing to do instead for a 98-year-old man living in Carpi who died yesterday from the virus. He is victim number 483 for the province of Modena.
Overall, 9 new positives were found yesterday, 3 of which were symptomatic: one, as mentioned, is in intensive care, the other two are hospitalized in another ward. From a geographical point of view, the distribution sees 1 case in Carpi, 3 in Castelfranco, 4 in Modena and 1 in Soliera.
Another news coming from the Polyclinic is the positivity of two patients in the internal medicine department. This was communicated by the university hospital
“A 79-year-old patient – they explain from the hospital – tested positive and therefore all the necessary measures were activated to evaluate and contain the possible contagion, subjecting patients and operators to swabs and active surveillance which for now has highlighted the positivity of a second patient, aged 71, hospitalized in the nearby bed. The patient had been hospitalized on September 15, coming from the emergency room, after having stopped in the filter area and carried out the negative swab. At the usual check-up before discharge, a new swab was carried out and instead it was positive ». –
