The 50-year-old coach has had a rich playing career, during which he played 112 international matches for Oranjes, where he subsequently worked as an assistant to Bert van Marwijk.
However, De Boer soon achieved his greatest coaching success in Ajax, with which he won Eredivisie four times in a row between 2010 and 2014, thus talking about his engagement on the Inter Milan bench.
There, however, the Dutch expert did not follow up on the success of his former job and was recalled after only three months. A similar episodic role was subsequently played at Crystal Palace.
