That was exactly the right answer to the 2-0 defeat against Göttingen. In the Oberliga catch-up game against Lupo-Martini Wolfsburg, Germania Egestorf / Langreder won 2-0.
Surprise on the sidelines
The first surprise came before the kick-off: Germania coach Paul Nieber stood on the line in the last game despite a red card. As a first-time offender, he had to shell out a fine for it, no suspension. The backing apparently gave his team motivation.

Old friend is watching
The club took over the reins from the start. In front of ex-NFV President Karl-Heinz Rothmund, Zeki Dösemeci took the lead (13th), Nico Berg followed up (17th). The hard-working Marko Ilic prepared both goals. Torben Engelking, formerly Egestorf, now Havelse and out of action with a torn cruciate ligament, was satisfied with his old teammates in the stands.
Quiet second half – derby on Saturday
With the lead in the back Egestorf reeled off the number sovereignly and did not allow any major actions in the second half. The sense of achievement comes at the right time. On Saturday, the big league derby will take place at the newly promoted Ramlingen-Ehlershausen.
