A neighbor of Novo Mesoiro was arrested this morning, after two thirty, for an alleged crime of sexist violence. He is accused of threatening to kill his partner, grabbing her arms tightly and shaking her.
She told the local police officers who showed up at her home at ten to three in the morning that at one point the man took a knife to intimidate her. She threw a slotted spoon and a mop at her. She says it is not the first time that she has been abused by this 44-year-old man.
On the 22nd of this month she was also attacked. In her account, she showed the municipal officers her bruised right arm.
