Having sex after a heart attack in the following months is not advice, but imperative. At least reading the results of a massive study carried out by Tel Aviv University in Israel. Having sex after a heart attack: Israeli research
The researchers analyzed the sexual activity of 495 patients who had been hospitalized for their first heart attack between 1992 and 1993. The mean age was 53, and 90% of the participants were men. The participants were divided into two groups:
- that of those who abstained or decreased the frequency of their sexual activity,
- who had maintained or increased this frequency.
Two hundred eleven patients lost their lives. Scientists have found that having sex like before heart attack or increasing the frequency decreases the risk of dying by 35 percent.
