In Sardinia, no anticipation of the flu campaign: vaccines only at the end of October

SASSARI. The influenza vaccination campaign in Sardinia will not start before the end of October. The 530 thousand vaccines ordered by the Region are not materially yet. The administration of vaccines will largely be entrusted to general practitioners. They will have the task of inoculating at least 400 thousand doses of the vaccine which, if necessary, could even become 500 thousand. All this emerged in the meeting between general practitioners and managers of the Department of Health. The recommendation of the National Medicines Agency to bring the flu vaccination to early October remains unheard of on the island.
