West Ham | David Moyes and two West Ham players have been diagnosed with the coronavirus

The London club is in action against Hull in the league cup and had to make changes to the team line-up just before the start.

West Ham manager David Moyes and two players at the club are said to have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, reports the BBC on Tuesday night.

West Ham themselves confirm this on Twitter and can state that in addition to Moyes, it is Issa Diop and Josh Cullen who are infected with the virus.

West Ham are in action against Hull in the league cup and just before the start of the match, the London club had to make a couple of changes to the announced line-up.

According to Sky Sports, the three must have been informed that they were infected with the virus shortly before the match was to be kicked off. West Ham’s medical staff should not have found out about this until they were already in place for the match, but were asked to leave London Stadium immediately after the positive tests became known.

The Daily Mail writes that neither Moyes, Diop nor Cullen have had symptoms of the disease prior to testing positive.

The three will now be quarantined for 10 days and are thus also out of action for this weekend’s league match at home against Wolverhampton.

It is assistant manager Alan Irvine who leads West Ham in Tuesday’s match.

Jack Whilshere and Harrison Ashby joined the freshman.
