The Panakkukang Police officially named three men as suspects in the rape case of a student with the initials EA (23) in turns. A perpetrator is known to have a family.
“After conducting the title of the case, we named three of the seven suspected perpetrators. We have named three suspects in the case of alleged crimes of immorality,” said Chief of Reskrim, Panakkukang Iptu Police Iqbal Usman at his office, Jalan Pengayoman, Makassar, Tuesday (22 / 9/2020).
The police charged the three perpetrators with Article 286 and Article 289 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for more than 5 years.
“The perpetrator’s initials, 2 people with the initials F, and 1 person with the initials A. There is one who is married and works as an entrepreneur. All of them are adults, no one is a minor,” he said.
Furthermore, Iptu Iqbal said the perpetrators carried out the act of intercourse with the victim in room 101 in a hotel in the Panakkukang area, Makassar.
“The three suspects they committed intercourse with the victim in turn in room 101,” he said.
Previously, the police arrested seven people in this case. They are SN (21), UF (21), NA (20), IS (23), AF (22), MF (26), and IB (25). Four people in this case are witnesses. Police are still conducting further investigations.
“From the results of the title of the case, we will determine the four people as witnesses in this case. Of course we are waiting for the results of further investigation whether there are new suspects in this case,” he explained.
It is known that the rape of the victim EA happened after EA and his girlfriend, SN, and 6 men visited a nightclub. EA, who was drunk, was then invited by SN to stay at the hotel where the rape took place.
