The American TV presenter Ellen DeGeneres has once again apologized for the abuses behind the scenes at the start of the eighteenth season of ‘The Ellen show’.

Apologies were needed after first Buzzfeed and after that a whole slew of other media had written about the negative atmosphere behind the scenes of her program this summer. Employees and former employees testified of harassment, intimidation and sexual misconduct. Three producers for the show have since been fired.
“I found out that things happened here that should never have happened,” DeGeneres says. ‘I take it very seriously and I would like to apologize to anyone who has suffered below. I take responsibility for what happens on my show, but today we’re starting a new chapter. ‘
Ellen herself remains in the post, of course there is no other way, even though people said Buzzfeed that she is very dictatorial and doesn’t even allow employees to look her in the eye when talking to her.
DeGeneres also returned to this criticism, with a joke. ‘I am the person you see on television, but sometimes I am also sad or angry, I get frustrated or impatient, but I am working on that, especially on that patience. But it is not going well, because it is not going fast enough, ‘says DeGeneres.
