2020 municipal elections: in the Brugnaro projections over 50% in Venice. Reggio Calabria towards the ballot. Mantua to the center-left – La Stampa

Once the ballot for regional and referendum was filed, the counting of votes in the municipal elections and those in the Aosta Valley, with special statutes, went from 9. In all, 958 municipalities voted, including 15 provincial capitals. The definitive turnout in the municipalities was 66.19%, an increase compared to five years ago. The figure concerns the 606 Municipalities of the 15 Regions with ordinary statute. In the previous round of elections, the percentage of turnout was 65.18%.
According to yesterday’s Consorzio Opinio exit polls in the main cities called to vote for the Municipalities, the center-right is in clear advantage to Venezia with the outgoing mayor Luigi Brugnaro (who could also be elected in the first round). A figure also confirmed by the first projection that sees Brugnaro at 51 percent, followed by Pierpaolo Baretta of the center-left at 28.9%, Sara Visman (M5S) at 5.1%.

Head to head to Reggio Calabria between the first outgoing Giuseppe Falcomatà – of the center-left – and the candidate of the center-right Nico Minicuci. Falcomatà is at 35.8%, while the challenger Nino Minicuci of the center right is at 34.8%. Angela Marcianò is at 13.1%, Saverio Pazzano at 7.8.

A MantuaOn the other hand, Mattia Palazzi’s center-left seems likely to win in the first round: according to the first projection he has 65.5 percent, while the center-right challenger Stefano Rossi would be 26.1%. Gloria Costani at 6.4%, Michele Annaloro at 0.7%.
As well as a Trento where the center-left could win with Franco Ianeselli. The center-right would instead be ahead of Bolzano, Arezzo, Chieti: Fabrizio Di Stefano of the center-right is at 36%; Bruno di Iorio (civic) at 24.8% Diego Ferrara (center left) at 19%.

Matera seems destined for the second round: here Rocco Sassone of the center-right is at 31.6%, Domenico Bennardi of the M5s at 26.2%, Giovanni Schiuma (center-left) at 18.6%.

Finally, again on the basis of the exit polls, in Valle d’Aosta the Lega would be the first party.
